i may not be in the front-line together with the leaders of the church..
but that doesn't make me any less important..
You have your plans for me..

i'll learn to keep on keeping on even in tough times..
He'll never throw me in a situation that's too hard to handle..
what doesn't break me, only makes me stronger..
what's more is that I'll always have Him by my side, walking it through with me..

i don't know about you, but whenever i listen to certain songs, it'll just remind me of the past..

while i was on my way to work this morning, i heard jay chou's '簡單愛' and i thought of my secondary school days.. and yes theresa, i had my ching chong phase too.. i used to buy every one of his album!

and from there, i started remebering other songs that reminded me of significant times of my life.. i shall write them down for fun!

Backstreet Boys (Get Down, Everybody). 911 (Bodyshakin), Five (Slam Dunk da Funk, Baby When the Lights Go Out) - hahaha. these songs are so old skool.. but when i was around primary 5, my 2 neighbours (Silvia & Nurul) and i would choreograph to these songs and we'd dance to them all day!

Spice Girls (Mama) - haha. My first public performance ever! I gathered a group of friends to put up a sing & dance item for Teacher's day when i was in primary 5.. i can still remember the steps! hahahaha.

Butterfly, Paranoia, AM-3P, Brilliant2U, Afronova, Jam Jam Reggae - when i was primary 6, Della and I would go down to Parkway Parade's arcade everyday after school to play DDR.. so sometimes, we'd buy a cheap t-shirt from Top20 and lup it over our school-u.. if not, we'll go home, get changed then meet up at the arcade.. even during our PSLE, we went to the arcade after each paper! tsk.

Night of Fire, Eurobeat, Boom Boom Fire, Yesterday - hahaha. Para Para Paradise moments in sec 2.. i cant believe i spent so much money on these arcade games..

Jay Chou's Fantasy Album - Reminds me of my secondary 2 and 3 days.. whenever our volleyball team had to go to the gym, we'd play his album over and over again. We'd sing '安靜', '簡單愛', '開不了口' and '爸，我回來了' before every competition to calm our nerves..

Jay Chou's 八度空間, 葉惠美, 七里香 and 十一月的蕭邦 Album - I pretty much lived with his music all the way til sec 5? so anyway, i have this very close group of girlfriends called P5 (please dont ask me to explain what's P5.. damn cheesy).. haha. we'd organize chalets twice every year during our June & Dec holidays just to hang out and play.. and everyday in the chalet, jay's music will be playing nonstop from day til night.. argh. i miss those girls! pingping, shidah, pauline and jialing!

Okay, so after the Jie Lun phase, i got alittle into the techo phase.. eeew. i can't believe i used to listen to that.. ugh. the influence of friends..

Amor Infinitus - please please dont go.. dont tell me that its over.. why do you go.. tears are in my eyes.. fade away, fade away don't fade away.. please tell me that u'll stay.. that you stay with me forever.. don't fade away.. HAHAHAHA.

Smoke Machine, Walking in the Sun & The Book is on the Table - Reminds me of the first few times i went clubbing with my group of close friends at Boat Quay.. it's like damn long ago la.. it's a time whereby boat quay was filled with small pubs instead of the bars we have now.. and you'd see ah bengs and ah lians getting into fights just cause u bumped into them on the dance floor..

Thank God the techno phase was only for a short period.. so in sec 4 and 5.. i started listening to more hiphop-ish songs..

Black Eyed Peas (where is the love, shut up, smells like funk) - mercy and i would sing to these songs during physics lab lessons cuz Mr Lim's a very boring teacher.. We'd also sing to these songs while mugging for our N level exams in Thaipan..

One Way - Sang this praise song at church on the day I got saved in 2004 =)

Seal (Kiss from a Rose) - This reminds me of the time when i was in Poly year 1.. being a fan of Silvester! he sang this song on Singapore Idol and i loved it.. hahaha. whats wrong with me man??? -.-

Black Eyed Peas (My Humps) - Was in TPDE camp and our group had to choreo to this song overnight and put up a showcase the next morning! and we were the best team!! yeah yeah!

Heart of Worship - My first Emerge conference in 2005! wept buckets while we worshipped in the overflow room after TRP's POS item..

Boogie wonderland, Lose my breath, Teach me how to dance, Take the Lead - Ghetto Queens!! hahaha. i miss all of 'em girls! those long nights over in ah ger's house as the 6 of us squeeze in her dining room area to practice.. i love my queens!

Shakirah (Hips don't lie) - Danced with Nu X's! hahaha. we got 1st runner up for Straits Times Dance Competition.. lol.

The Boogie that Be, Sexy Back, Promiscuous Girl, Pedestal, Apologise and Blindfold me - the rruelling 9months++ of Project O! we'd meet up at SMU after school to practice together.. to go through our exam pieces together and record them down.. making episodes of 'The Silliest Things'.. roflol-ing on the grounds of SMU.. practicing our spilts against the glass panels.. each person taking turns to come up with a short choreo for speed learning across the floor.. i miss those times when we're all less busy.. when we're all so tight..

No Doubt & Gwen Stefani's Album - Times when I just started out in Ed Hardy! These 2 albums were always on repeat mode..

Britney's Blackout Album (Piece of Me & Radar) - Reminds me of the times I worked with Deb Chan in SKIN Heeren!

hahaha. okay, i'll stop here for now.. if i remember any more songs, i'll probably edit this entry and include it in.. bye!

first of all, i just wanna say i'm so proud of my BF & BFF for their SYF achievements! Silver & Gold for their first attempts! it's really awesome and i'm so happy for them and their kids! =D

anyway, i was packing some of my shoes to bring over to the new house and it was only then that i realised what a complete shoe whore i am! hahaha. i've got so many pairs of shoes ok! most of which have never been worn more than once.. horrible! wasted so much money..



17 pairs here! and this was after throwing away 3 pairs of boots.. and not to forget, 2 more pairs of wedges that's kept in the store.. so in total, 22 pairs! no wonder my dad's always complaining that i have too many shoes.. i never really bothered cuz i didn't really keep track of it until now.. my eyes have finally been opened! what a shocking revelation this is!

i wonder how much would i have saved if not for these impulsive splurges on shoes! i would probably be able to buy myself another miumiu wallet or even a marc jacobs bag!

i even complained to my mum that she overdid the shoe cupboard in our new home as it's kinda huge.. but come to think of it.. it'll be fully utilized by me! haha.

am really excited about the new place! i'll finally have my own room! and i have a queen sized bed all for myself! yay. and now, theresa can stay over whenever she likes cuz i've got space for her to sleep too :)

also, baby's birthday is just in a couple of days! i'm really looking forward to it.. we'll get to spend some time together.. relaxing and enjoying each other's company.. like finally please! we've been so busy with our careers that we hardly go out on dates anymore =( but still, its for the sake of our future.. work hard now to secure a good and comfortable life.. especially since i am a taitai-wannabe.. heh.

speaking of taitai.. was working with deb this afternoon.. i love working with her, its fun! so we were talking and drooling about chanel bags.. and googled this!



a chanel birthday cake! pretty isn't it?!





and we saw a Tiffany cake as well! and deb's so cute la.. she said that khye should place a Tiffany ring inside the cake and have me eat it and propose to me when i got to it..  HAHAHA. *hint hint khye!! TIFFANY!* =p

haha. so i'm done blogging for now.. off to bed! i hope khye reads this entry!
